Where did WordPress come from and where is it going?
20 years – would you believe it? WordPress, already 20 years old. Do you remember what it was like in the beginning?
Miriam Schwab will remind us what the system looked like 20 years ago, talk about all the steps that brought WordPress to be what it is today, and end with a glimpse of the future and what else we can expect from the beloved system.

לאחר שהייתה חברה פעילה ומנהיגה בתעשיית וורדפרס כבר למעלה מחמש עשרה שנה, כבלוגרית, מארגנת WordCamp חמש פעמים ודוברת WordCamp תדיר, הקימה מרים סוכנות פיתוח וורדפרס מובילה בישראל. בהמשך, מרים הקימה את Strattic, המציעה דרך headless וסטטית לאירוח של אתרי וורדפרס. שישה חודשים לאחר שסטרטיק נרכשה על ידי אלמנטור, מרים עברה לתפקידה הנוכחי והיא נרגשת להיות אשת הקשר בין אלמנטור לאקוסיסטם הגדול יותר של וורדפרס.
Miriam is the head of the WordPress relations department at Elementor. Also known as the “Ambassador”.
After being an active member and leader in the WordPress industry for over fifteen years, as a blogger, organizer of WordCamp five times and a frequent WordCamp speaker, Miriam founded a leading WordPress development agency in Israel. Later, Miriam founded Strattic, which offers a headless and static way to host and deploy WordPress websites. Six months after Strattic was acquired by Elementor, Miriam has moved into her current role and is excited to be the link between Elementor and the larger WordPress ecosystem.
